I’ve been reading poetry about love but also came across a 1938 song that became popular during WWII. I think it shows the lifeforce of love and connection – romantic or otherwise 🙂
I’ll Be Seeing You by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Irving Kahal.
Some of the words go like this:
I’ll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through…
I’ll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I’ll be looking at the moon
But I’ll be seeing you
Interesting tidbit I found: Billie Holiday’s 1944 recording of the song was the final transmission sent by NASA to the Opportunity rover on Mars when its mission ended in February 2019. https://youtu.be/oXJ3B5en0UA?si=Hf3jAKUQSCE27mLr
Such a good song
